DURING THE HIGH WINDS on Saturday, April 6th, two utility poles in Stockton couldn’t withstand the force of the more than 60 mph winds. The Stockton Fire Department was called to block the alleyways where the poles were located. The electric poles had to be shored up using an RGN and Stockton City truck until the Stockton Electric and Water Departments could replace them. One pole was replaced on Saturday, and the second was replaced on Monday. The Electric Department had poles on hand as it has been replacing poles around town as money and time allow. Strong storms were being predicted for our area this Monday evening. Let’s hope we receive some much-needed moisture and miss out on any destructive weather.
