Mongeau brothers 1st and 2nd at WaKeeney Christmas Classic

BROTHERS GARRISON (LEFT) AND GRAYSON MONGEAU both started the kids wrestling season strong, as Grayson placed 1st and Garrison, 2nd, at the Christmas Classic Tourney in WaKeeney. Coach Kent Hahn is pictured at left.
The Stockton Wrestling Club started their season early this year with an open tournament in WaKeeney. The Christmas Classic was held on Saturday, December 21st. Stockton had five wrestlers competing. The Mongeau brothers started off the season strong, placing first and second. Grayson wrestled in the 6 and under, 46-pound class and won three matches. Garrison wrestled at 8 and under 70 and placed second.
The Balthazor brothers also competed for Stockton. Blake Balthazor wrestled in his first tournament at 6 and under 43 and placed fifth. Blake’s brother Zeke competed at 10 and under 70 and went 1-2.
Justice Stice went 0-2 at 8 and under 70.
The wrestling club started practice in December and they currently meet for practice twice a week. The club has 26 wrestlers that compete in tournaments and 30 that practice. The wrestlers are coached by Kent Hahn, Adam Balthazor, Shayn Balthazor, Layn Balthazor, Heath Muir and Dan Atkisson.
