The Red Line Cruisers Car Club has finalized plans for its 8th Annual Cruise Night and Car Show, which is shaping up to be another great weekend.

The event is scheduled for Cruise Night on Friday, May 3, and the Car Show on Saturday, May 4. Friday night, the Cruise will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m. We are asking there be NO burn-outs or excessive speed during the event. Tickets will be issued.

The Poker Run will start at the Old Skelly Gas Station (one block west of the Music Trailer) from 7:008:00 p.m. The winners will be announced at the music trailer shortly after 8:00 p.m. During the Cruise, Leo's Liquor will be serving popcorn.

The smell of food from the vendors will fill downtown Plainville. Plan on taking advantage of the great food: Bob's BBQ, Red Barn Concession, Sno Shack, and Ma-Ma C's Meat & Sweets (these four vendors will be on Mill Street Friday night and Saturday).

I'm Stuffed Cupcakes/ Cookies and Main Dish Hometown Catering will only be here Friday night. The local restaurants will also be happy to serve guests that night.

Bring a lawn chair and your family, enjoy the evening, and take advantage of all the food vendors.

Stop by Friends of Webster State Park's booth during Friday's Cruise Night. It's time for their Annual Bucket Raffle. Buy your chance to win fabulous prizes. Win a prize for as little as $1 and support projects funded by Friends of Webster State Park.

This event is an absolute blast from the past, with the purring mufflers from the vehicles to the awesome Classic Rock and Roll Music that will fill the air Friday night and Saturday.

The Methodist Church Ladies will serve breakfast on the corner of Mill and Main Streets on Saturday morning from 7:0010:00 a.m.

Registration for the Car Show will be from 8:00-11:00 a.m., with the National Anthem starting off our show at 11:00 a.m. Come walk around the vehicles from the past, and enjoy the food from our vendors.

Club members ask everyone to please take the time to look at the TV just east of the Music Trailer. Plainville High School Cardinal Media Productions and Cardinal Tech Support have made the list of sponsors available.

Donations will go toward the Kansas Honor Flight again this year. The Red Line Cruisers Club asks everyone to join them on Mill and Main on Saturday afternoon before 3:00 p.m. for the check presentation, which will be held before the presentation of the Car Show winners. This year, we are honored to have five veterans from Rooks County making the trip on the Kansas Honor Flight.

Please check out the Red Line Cruisers Car Club Facebook page and look over all of the sponsors that have helped make the Cruise Night and Car Show the success that it is. With all of the sponsors, the event is possible.

Thank You from the Red Line Cruisers. See you all this Friday and Saturday.
