The March 18th meeting of the Crossroads Quilt Guild was brought to order at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments from Karen McCune and Diane Maddy. Roll Call was taken with 19 answering and five showing their latest creations. The minutes were read by all, and a motion was made to accept them as printed by Bertha McGann and seconded by Linda Gardner. The motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report was given by Diane Maddy with Betty Bedore making a motion to approve Treasurer’s Report, which was seconded by Connie Haselhorst. The motion carried. There were no communication letters, committee reports, or bills presented. Old Business was the New Year’s Baby quilt that was given to Rooks County’s first baby of 2024. It was presented to Rebekah Van Skike and her parents. Betty Bedore and Elaine Hrabe made the quilt. During New Business, Linda Gardner announced that the Sew Day in Plainville will be moved from the First Baptist Church to the VFW in Plainville starting in March. Linda Gardner motioned to pay the VFW instead of the church $50.00 for the use of the building for 2024. Diane Maddy seconded the motion with the motion carried. Jennifer Guffey made a motion to adjourn the meeting, and Idona Fries seconded it. The motion carried. The next meeting will be on April 15th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., with Betty Bedore and Idona Fries as hostesses. For those doing the Round Robin, bring your bag in to exchange with the next person.
